The Los Angeles Dodgers enter the rubber match of a three-game series with the San Fransisco Giants needing the big bats to deliver once again.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to win the team’s first two series of the year with a game three rubber match against the San Fransisco Giants on Wednesday night.

The Dodgers dropped the first game of the series due to a blown two-run lead by Joe Kelly and nearly blew a four-run lead in the bottom of the ninth on Tuesday to be in risk of being swept.

However, the Dodgers held on and now we head into the third and final game of the season at one apiece. A win here would move the Dodgers to 5-2, which sounds much prettier than 4-3, while the Giants look to avoid winning just one game in the first two series of the year.

Not only did the Dodgers get the job done last night but the team also extended our Beat the Streak hitting streak. With Madison Bumgarner on the mound, we had no other option to go with than Enrique Hernandez.

Hernandez continued his career trend of owning Bumgarner and went 2-3 off the southpaw with an RBI and run scored.

The fans were not as lucky as they went with Chris Taylor, who extended his lifetime woes against Bellinger. Taylor went 0-3 on the night, although he reached base once with a walk.

Jason’s pick (Current streak: 1): Justin Turner

There is yet another southpaw on the mound for the Giants, which will prove to be another good test for the Dodgers. The Dodgers failed that test on Monday but passed on Tuesday, scoring six runs in the process.

Although the Dodgers scored six runs, Justin Turner was not a part of the fun. Turner went 0-3 on the night with a strikeout (although he had a sacrifice fly) and moved his average down to .238 in the process.

Turner (along with Corey Seager) has not started the year great aside from his five-RBI game and is due for his first long ball of the season. After going hitless on Tuesday, Turner is going to avenge himself on Wednesday with a big fly.

The fans’ pick (Current streak: 0): Cody Bellinger

The fans are going with the hottest bat on the Dodgers right now in Cody Bellinger, who received multiple nominations down in our comments section.

Bellinger has been lights out and is tied for the lead in home runs and is the outright leader in RBIs to start the season. He is hitting southpaws well, which is a great sign for this season and is an even better sign that he will get a base hit on Wednesday night.

Even when he gets out he is making solid contact all around the yard and is probably the safest pick to get a base hit right now.

Next. Why you shouldn't worry about the Dodgers bullpen. dark

Whether it is Turner or Bellinger (or both), the Los Angeles Dodgers are going to need the big hitters in the lineup to come up big on Wednesday to head into the first off-day of the year with a nice 5-2 record and division lead.
