The Los Angeles Dodgers’ brutal first month continues on Thursday as the team travels to Milwaukee to once again face off with the Brewers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have already played the Milwaukee Brewers three times this season, losing the first two games of the series before slugging their way to a win on Sunday.

It was that win on Sunday that sparked the Dodgers’ current four-game winning streak, perhaps proving that the Dodgers are the streakiest team in baseball to start the year. A five-game winning streak turned into a six-game losing streak, which is now back to a five-game winning streak.

The goal is obviously to extend that streak and if the Dodgers can take three of four from Milwaukee then it would be a huge win for the team. Splitting the four games would be just fine, winning the series would be excellent.

On the mound for the Brewers is Zach Davies, the arm that nearly blanked the Dodgers last time around if it were not for a solo Cody Bellinger home run. The Dodgers could only score one run on Davies in seven innings of work despite recording eight hits.

It is easier to leave the yard at Miller Park and the Dodgers might find themselves having another great offensive showing if the team can get off on the right foot.

As part of our Los Angeles Dodgers Beat the Streak series, here is who we think will get at least one base hit for the Dodgers on Thursday.

Jason’s pick (Current streak: 2): Cody Bellinger

It is only fitting that I go with the guy that slugged a home run off of Davies the first time around and the guy that has been the best hitter in all of baseball to start the year. Bellinger is showing no signs of slowing down and is coming up against a favorable matchup in a favorable park.

Bellinger has three hits off of Davies in six at-bats, which is a great sign that he will record at least one base hit in the contest. While his average is not all that high, Bellinger also has six hits in six regular season games at Miller Park, which again, points us in the right direction.

Bellinger’s approach at the plate has been amazing to start the year as he is no longer chasing those out of the zone breaking balls. If Davies misses with a pitch over the plate you bet that Bellinger is going to make him pay.

The fans’ pick (Current streak: 3): A.J. Pollock

It is kind of refreshing to see the fans’ pick be someone other than Cody Bellinger, who we ironically picked. The fans have constantly gone to Bellinger as their selection, and I cannot blame you guys. He has been the best player and that is why your streak is longer.

Pollock might not be the best pick statistically, though, as he is hitless in three at-bats against Davies in his career. Perhaps he is due for a base knock after being blanked by Davies in their last encounter, though.
