The Los Angeles Dodgers easily defeated the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night and are now looking for the series win on Wednesday.

It did not look all that promising for the Los Angeles Dodgers early on in the game on Tuesday night. Opposing pitcher Drew Pomeranz is someone that has pitched very well against the Dodgers and the Boys in Blue had to cut a deficit early on.

David Freese then slugged a three-run home run in the top of the fourth inning that barely got over the right-field wall and that ended up being just the beginning for an offensive explosion by the Dodgers.

Los Angeles followed the three runs in the fourth inning with six runs in the sixth inning. Justin Turner then added another run in the seventh inning on his first home run of the season and the Dodgers were easily able to walk away with the 10-3 win.

This series is now looking much more optimistic as the Dodgers are starting a series win right in the face after losing the first game of the series in frustrating fashion. The Dodgers have the momentum and will be turning to Hyun-Jin Ryu on Wednesday.

Staring the Dodgers down is someone they are all-too-familiar with, Madison Bumgarner. Bumgarner has not been entirely himself to start the year though, as he has a 1-4 record with a 4.30 ERA.

Bumgarner allowed five runs in six innings in his last outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

As part of our daily Los Angeles Dodgers Beat the Streak series, here is who we think is going to supply the firepower against Bumgarner on Wednesday night to hopefully lead to a Dodgers’ victory.

Jason’s pick (Current streak: 3): Enrique Hernandez

C’mon. There literally is not a single person on this team that I should pick to get a hit off of Madison Bumgarner than Enrique Hernandez.

For years now, Hernandez has absolutely dominated Bumgarner in the head-to-head matchups and every single time Bumgarner is taking the mound I go with Hernandez. I am pretty sure that Hernandez has not failed me in the two years that we have been doing this series.

Hernandez has 21 hits off of Bumgarner in 42 at-bats. Of those 21 hits, Hernandez has five doubles, four home runs and nine RBIs.

Every Dodger fan knows how good Hernandez is against Bumgarner, which is really one of the weirdest parts of baseball considering that Bumgarner is one of the best pitchers in the league and Hernandez is not an all-star.

The Hernandez-Bumgarner matchup is one of the easiest to predict in baseball: it usually leads to some base hits. Hernandez will undoubtedly extend my streak on Wednesday,
