The Los Angeles Dodgers gave us one of the most memorable games on Tuesday night and looked primed to win in a similar fashion on Wednesday.

Tuesday night’s game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves was one of the games that every Dodger fan will remember when the season is all said and done.

The Dodgers won in convincing fashion with a 9-0 scoreline but it was not the final score that made Tuesday night so fun. It was what happened in the game that made it truly memorable for the fans.

Where do we start? First of all, Hyun-Jin Ryu looked absolutely dominant. Ryu took a perfect game into the sixth inning and allowed just four hits across nine scoreless innings. He struck out six, walked none and threw just 93 pitches.

On the offensive side of things, Justin Turner tried to show up Ryu with perhaps the best regular season game of his entire career. Turner, who only hit one home run in April and it came at the very end of the month, slugged three home runs on Tuesday in a 4-5 night. He drove in six runs.

It really was a special night and now the Dodgers have a chance to extend the team’s home winning streak to ten games. Taking the bump is the same pitcher that pitched game one of the NLDS, Mike Foltynewicz.

Going for the Dodgers is none other than the ace himself, Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw has looked really sharp thus far this year and blanked the Braves at Dodger Stadium in Game 2 of the NLDS last year.

We could see some fireworks with the Foltynewicz on the mound. Here is who we think will supply those fireworks as part of our Los Angeles Dodgers Beat the Streak series.

Jason’s pick (Current streak: 0): Joc Pederson

Man, it must be a curse if I pick you for my Los Angeles Dodgers Beat the Streak. I have been so bad here recently with my selections that I almost think it is a bad thing to do this series as it is cursing some of the players.

I know I will get this pick right though as Joc Pederson is due for another towering home run. Luckily for him, he is coming up against the same arm that he hit a lead-off home run in Game 1 of the NLDS.

Pederson actually has never gotten a hit off of Foltnewicz in six career regular-season at-bats. However, as he did in the NLDS, Pederson is going to get a fastball over the plate that he is going to drive.

If not, well, we will continue this series with the precedent that my selections are the ultimate jinx. That won’t be the case though, as Pederson will at least get one base hit.
