1. Sign Jimmy Butler and Julius Randle

Jimmy Butler is one of the superstars available this summer and in most offseasons would be the marquee option for a team to sign. However, in this extremely deep free agent class, Butler likely does not even crack the top-five of available free agents to sign.

When Butler is at his best, he is easily a top-15 to top-20 player in the league. His defensive efforts and ability to score from the three-point line is something that every NBA team in 2019 is looking for.

However, where Butler’s value takes a hit is in his locker room presence. Butler has not been documented as the best teammate in his NBA career and because of that, the chances of him getting a max contract this summer are slim.

That might be perfect for the Clippers, though, who can get an all-star player for a reduced cost, making it easier to bring in other talented players and stay under the cap.

The other talented player the Los Angeles Clippers could bring in is none other than Julius Randle. Randle is a 24-year-old power forward/center blend that has really blossomed into a solid player over the last two seasons.

Randle is about ready to enter his prime and could very well be an all-star as early as next season as well. Last year, Randle averaged 21.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game in 30.6 minutes per game.

The team would still have some work to do to win an NBA Title but adding Jimmy Butler and Julius Randle would certainly be a good start.
