  • PTS: 28 REB: 20 AST: 9 BLK: 8 Game Score: 32.2

Of all the NBA Finals games Shaquille O’Neal played with the Los Angeles Lakers, his game two performance in the 2001 NBA Finals was arguably his greatest all-around game. O’Neal was so dominant he was able to secure his second consecutive 20-20 game in a row.

O’Neal’s eight blocks tied an NBA Finals record (since broken) for most blocks in a game, and he was one assist and two blocks away from having a quadruple double. The Lakers needed every one of O’Neal’s stats as the Lakers won a closely contested 98-89 game.

The win got the Lakers back into the series after they surprisingly dropped game one in overtime. By getting the Lakers back on their winning ways, O’Neal and the Lakers were able to win the series in five giving them a then 15-1 playoff record.

O’Neal would continue to dominate the 76ers and win his second consecutive NBA Finals MVP award for his efforts.
