The Los Angeles Dodgers evened the series at a game a piece with the San Francisco Giants and now look to win two in a row after losing two in a row.

The Los Angeles Dodgers‘ offense was not impressive the two games leading up to Saturday’s contest against the San Francisco Giants but the team responded exactly how the league’s best team should.

Instead of letting the first losing streak since April affect them negatively, the Dodger bats came out and produced seven runs off of a great game from both Justin Turner and Corey Seager. All in all, the Dodgers collected 11 hits, seven of which were from Turner and Seager.

Now the Dodgers have the chance to win the series, which would extend their streak without losing a series. The last time the Dodgers lost a series was late April, when the team lost a three-game series in San Francisco.

Los Angeles sends Walker Buehler to the mound to square off against Madison Bumgarner. Bumgarner has not been his same dominant self this year, owning a 4.05 ERA. However, he has a career 2.56 ERA against the Boys in Blue in 34 career starts, so he knows how to get him out.

The Dodgers also know how to hit him as well. The Dodgers have faced Bumgarner twice this year, splitting the two games. The team scored five unearned runs against Bumgarner in the first matchup and scored one run in six innings in the second matchup.

Here is who we think can get at least one base knock in the matchup on Sunday as part of our Los Angeles Dodgers Beat the Streak series.

Jason’s pick (Current streak: 0): Enrique Hernandez

After a series-best 13-game hitting streak we have guessed incorrectly in two straight games. It was the batter we are picking today, Enrique Hernandez, who ended the streak on Friday.

While that was a tad disappointing, we really cannot go with anyone other than Hernandez against Bumgarner. It is well documented that Hernandez has dominated Bumgarner in their careers and Hernandez has proven us correct in both matchups this year.

In 45 career at-bats against Bumgarner, Hernandez has 23 hits, six of which are doubles and four of which are home runs. Hernandez would be hitting .222 against Bumgarner just counting his extra-base hits. He is hitting .511 altogether against the southpaw.

Not only is this one of the best matchups to extend our streak but it is one of the most dominant hitting matchups, especially with this big of a sample size, in the Major Leagues.
