The Los Angeles Dodgers could start to gain even more momentum, if that is even possible, after such a crazy win on Friday Night.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are already the best team in baseball. They were the first team in baseball to 50 wins, currently have the best record in baseball and have a staggering 32-9 record at Dodger Stadium.

The team showed why they are the best team in baseball on Friday night against the Colorado Rockies, who have been the second-best team in baseball after a dreadful 3-12 start to the season.

The game was headlined by Walker Buehler, who delivered nine strong innings for the Dodgers and struck out 16 batters. He let up two runs on two solo home runs, which weren’t even on terrible pitches, in what was one of the best starts of the Major League season.

There was a worry that Buehler was not even going to get the win for his performance with the Dodgers down to two outs in the bottom of the ninth in a tie game. However, Max Muncy drew a tremendous walk and Matt Beaty stunned the Rockies with a walk-off home run.

It was one of the many fun wins that fans will remember when the season is over and one that can turn an already great team into an even hotter team. Los Angeles has won four games in a row and that could begin to snowball fast into something special.

With Hyun-Jin Ryu on the mound on Saturday, Dodger fans can expect another great performance. As part of our Los Angeles Dodgers Beat the Streak series, here is who we think can deliver at least one base hit behind Ryu.

Jason’s pick (Current streak: 2): Cody Bellinger

It has been a while since I have gone with Cody Bellinger as my selection but it is hard to ignore Saturday’s matchup against the opposing starting pitcher. Peter Lambert is taking the ball for the Rockies and has never faced the Los Angeles Dodgers before.

It does not matter how good a pitcher is, when they see the Dodgers for the first time it usually (not always) does not end well. Look at how the team gave Chris Paddack his first bad start of the season in their first matchup against him.

Especially with it being in Dodger Stadium, the Dodger bats will be thriving off of the crowd and Lambert will begin to miss some spots. And as we have seen all season long, the worst player to miss a spot to is Cody Bellinger.

Bellinger just hit a home run on Friday but it would not be all that surprising to see him go deep again. Even without a home run, chances are Bellinger is going to have yet another multi-hit game.
