1. Alex Caruso and Rajon Rondo

We decided to throw Alex Caruso and Rajon Rondo on the same slide as they are both coming off of seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and would provide the front office a familiar face to add to the current roster.

Despite both being in the same situation this summer, the two point guards could not be any different thus far in their NBA careers.

Rondo is an experienced NBA veteran with an NBA Finals under his belt and a lot of success. Chances are, although the bar can be low, that Rondo will one day be an NBA Hall of Famer, especially if he can add more championships to his resume.

Caruso, on the other hand, is only 25 years old and has spent significant time in the G League waiting for his shot. After averaging 9.2 points, 3.1 assists, 2.7 rebounds and one steal in 25 games last season, Caruso has become a solid cheap option for the Lakers.

Rondo might end up costing more than Caruso but he is not going to get a significant contract from the Lakers. Rondo showed some signs of vintage Rondo this year but also struggled at times when he could not be as ball dominant.

Fans should be rooting for the Lakers to re-sign Caruso over Rondo but either way, the team is likely going to be re-signing one of the two point guards.
