LeBron James got his superstar running mate in Anthony Davis on the Los Angeles Lakers and is set to contend for his fourth ring in 2019.

Before LeBron James even signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, the narrative over the past few years has always been the front office wanting to add two superstars to the roster to contend for an NBA Championship.

Once LeBron signed last offseason, those talks accelerated and it only seemed like a matter of time before it would be a reality. LeBron typically can pull strings and get what he wants and the Lakers had the pieces to trade and the money to sign.

It did take longer than expected, partly because Paul George opted to stay with Oklahoma City last summer (how did that work out?), but it still happened. LeBron James and Anthony Davis created the new super team in the NBA and are arguably the most talented duo in the league.

LeBron’s first season as a Laker did not go as good as it could have. A groin injury sidelined him for over a month and pushed the team out of a playoff spot. Once he returned, you could tell he could not be bothered and did not want to risk another injury for a team that wouldn’t have made it past the second round, at best.

However, his box score numbers were still great as he averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game.

LeBron and the Lakers are primed for great things in the 2019 season. Here are our three bold predictions for LeBron in his 16th year in the league.
