The Los Angeles Lakers signing DeMarcus Cousins kind of flew under the radar but these bold predictions for Boogie certainly won’t.

Two years ago, DeMarcus Cousins was near the top of the NBA mountaintop. While there were concerns around his attitude and the kind of teammate he was, there was no denying his talent. Cousins was far and away the most talented center in the league and was set to get a massive payday.

Not only was he the most talented center, but he fit the modern-day NBA perfectly. He isn’t someone that will just get you points in the paint and grab boards; he is someone that can handle the basketball and shows range in his game.

Cousins came crashing down from the mountaintop when his Achilles ruptured in January 2018. Achilles injuries are known to be career ruiners and it definitely ruined Cousins’ payday. He signed just a one-year, $5 million deal with the Golden State Warriors but could not get the ring that he had hoped for.

This year he got even less as the Los Angeles Lakers signed Cousins to a one-year, $2.5 million contract. However, like his situation with the Golden State Warriors, Cousins is once again in a position to contend for an NBA Title.

This year is different as he has had more time to recover from the Achilles injury and rest his body as a whole. Because of that, we have reason to believe that we might see a different DeMarcus Cousins in 2019 than we did in 2018.

Here is what we think we will see out of Cousins this season as we give you our three bold predictions for the former All-NBA star.
