Robert Woods

Robert Woods is a clear standout to be the number one receiver for the Los Angeles Rams. Last season he compiled 1,219 yards receiving and six touchdowns.

Woods may not be the most appealing option for a team to have as the number one receiver. In his case, he more than deserves to be the number one receiving option for his team. Woods averaged 76.2 receiving yards a game. The highest in the receiving corps. Not to mention he tied for the most receiving touchdowns with Cooper Kupp.

Although he may have the worst catching percentage in the receiving corps, he still caught more than half of the passes thrown his way at 66.2%. He was also the most targeted receiver on the team as well, with 130 targets on the year.

Woods also being the most targeted on the team means more red zone opportunities. Out of his 6 receiving touchdowns on the year, four were eight yards or less.

Robert Woods proved himself more than worthy last season to be the team’s number one wideout. With the stats to back him up. He seemed to be a favorite target of Jared Goff’s the entire season, which in turn made him the most targeted on the team.

Although you could make the argument that Cooper Kupp might add a little more competition for targets this year, as he will be back from his injury. Until the stats say otherwise Woods seems like the clear number one receiver for this team.
