With the NBA season around the corner, Los Angeles Lakers Head Coach Frank Vogel has some very challenging decisions that will make or break the Lakers season, and perhaps his tenure coaching the Purple & Gold.

The moment Frank Vogel was announced as the Los Angeles Lakers new Head Coach, he was already placed on the hot seat. First off, the Vogel hiring seemed to be the result of a fallout with Ty Lue, who was heavily rumored and a contract dispute away from being named the Lakers head coach.

Secondly, just days after Vogel was hired, the Los Angeles Lakers hired Jason Kidd as his assistant coach, and also made Kidd the highest-paid assistant coach in the league.

Kidd had also been rumored to be named head coach, but Jeanie Buss declined due to what is believed to be off the court issues that Kidd has been involved in. If she had hired Kidd, it would have been a bad look for the brand of the Lakers, especially after former coach Luke Walton had been named in a sexual assault case earlier in the year.

Regardless, it is believed that Buss ultimately wants Kidd as the head coach and that Frank Vogel is just a temporary replacement. Not only does Vogel have to face the immense pressure of the Lakers’ fan base, but he will have to do so while holding the shovel to his own grave.

An immaculate effort will be needed in order for Frank Vogel to develop any sort of job security. There are some major decisions he will have to shortly make for the upcoming season that could determine if he has a job in 2020. Many of these decisions result around lineups, minutes, and strategies that can help to make the Lakers successful.

Many fans and analysts have their own takes in regards to these decisions, however, I will write about these decisions from the perspective of Vogel, and what must be going through his mind in the determining process. Find out the decisions Frank Vogel should make in order to keep his job:
