Jamaal’s Take: Rams over Chargers

The battle for LA continues in the NFL with the Rams coming off a Super Bowl appearance and the Chargers getting their first playoff win since moving from San Diego.

This year the Rams look to repeat in NFC West, and despite the question of Todd Gurley will be fully healthy, the Rams look like a strong Super Bowl contender with Jared Goff playing for a new contract and Aaron Donald favored to once again win NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

The Chargers may struggle to repeat their 12-win season. Running back Melvin Gordon continues to hold out and impact rookie defensive back Derwin James is out for the season. Philip Rivers is a year older and might break down if Gordon is an extended holdout.

Look for the Rams to have a better season than the Chargers this year.
