The Los Angeles Rams narrowly got past the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 to start the year 1-0 before hosting the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.

The last time we saw the Los Angeles Rams the team only put up three points in Super Bowl LIII and was outcoached by Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. Despite that ugly loss, there is still a lot to get excited about with the Rams as they are young, well-coached and now even hungrier.

The first game of the season could have been labeled as a trap game for the Los Angeles Rams. The team traveled east to the Carolina Panthers, who were one of the most disappointing teams in the league last season with a dreadful end to the year.

With the status of Cam Newton‘s arm unknown, it was a fair expectation to expect the Rams to throttle the Panthers. However, with the west to east travel and it being Week 1, the three-point difference should have been predictable.

Some Ram fans are upset with the win because of the sloppy play and the fact that the team was actually pretty lucky because of the Panthers’ miscues.

However, at the end of the day, a win is a win and as I look at it, I would much rather have an ugly win than a pretty loss. Speaking of ugly, here is the good, bad and ugly from Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers.
