1. Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard undoubtedly has to be the first player mentioned when we are talking about what players might not still be on the Los Angeles Lakers at the end of the season. The entire premise of brining Howard in was built around the hope that he will change his ways and not be as destructive as he has for his former teams.

That is why the Lakers gave him a non-guaranteed deal and can back out at any time. If this relationship begins to turn sour at any point in time then the Lakers can simply release Howard and go along with their business.

Personally, I think Howard will stay on the Lakers, at least for most of the year. I think he will be different, or at least act different, at the start of the season to give his new team hope. However, as the year goes along, the headaches will likely grow.

But more importantly than that, the Lakers really have no other option than to keep Howard. Anthony Davis does not want to play the center position and the Lakers have no one else besides Howard and JaVale McGee.

If someone gets bought out or a different door opens in the future then the Lakers will absolutely release Howard the second he becomes a nuisance. However, I think he will surprise a lot of the naysayers and stick around for a decent amount of time.
