The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a seventh consecutive National League (NL) West Division title, and they did it in fairly easy fashion clinching the title with an 18.5 lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Los Angeles Dodgers moved into first place on April 17th and never relinquished the lead again, they remain in contention for the best record in both the NL an all of baseball.

Though the internet chatter places little importance on division titles, especially as the Dodgers remain in 31 years World Series title slump, it would be a fun exercise to see where all seven division titles rank.

There are very few constants that bind all seven teams, the ownership group remains the same but the front office has changed and only three players were on every roster. When the streak started the Guggenheim group was only one year into owning the Dodgers, now in year seven, they’ve transformed the team into a juggernaut.

In the beginning, it was Ned Coletti running the front office, now it’s Andrew Friedman. In year one it was Don Mattingly who managed the team, now it’s his replacement Dave Roberts. Even the voice of the team has changed from venerated legend and baseball poet Vin Scully and now it is the youthful and enthusiastic Joe Davis.

So many things have changed but the outcome has remained the same: first place.
