Los Angeles Lakers: Players with the most to prove in 2019

The Los Angeles Lakers have a lot to prove to their fanbase after the last six years and certain players have a lot to prove on an individual level as well.
The last six years have been absolutely horrendous for fans of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers have not made the playoffs since 2013 and have not been legitimate contenders since the beginning of the decade.
Fans had to witness their favorite player retire in Kobe Bryant and had to watch all the chaos, ranging from D’Angelo Russell‘s mistake with Nick Young or Magic Johnson just randomly stepping down as President of Basketball Operations.
As bad as it sounds, the Lakers have felt more like a reality TV show over the last six years than they have a basketball team. That is why fans are so excited for the 2019 season.
They already got a taste of LeBron James last season and now are welcoming in Anthony Davis as well, creating arguably the best superstar duo in the entire NBA. Around them is a fairly deep supporting cast that is built to survive the grind of an 82-game NBA season.
LeBron and Davis obviously have a lot to prove as they are the two superstars on the team, but they are not the only players with something to prove in 2019.
The Lakers’ roster is full of a lot of interesting guys, all of which have their own unique narratives along with multiple ways that the season could go. If anything, it will be interesting to watch.
