2. The Los Angeles Lakers are much more reliable

To extend off of that superstar duo argument, the Los Angeles Lakers are not only more talented in the top-two but are much more reliable than the Clippers. In fact, it is kind of strange that more people aren’t talking about the fact that things could easily go wrong for the Clippers in 2019.

Paul George is coming off of two shoulder surgeries with his expected time to return in November. George has not been the most reliable in terms of his health, and more importantly, has not shown up in the playoffs since those battles with LeBron in Indiana.

Leonard also has his share of health worries. The Raptors had to shut him down for 20 games last season because of load management and he still looked injured in the playoffs, albeit he played through it.

What if George misses the first 15 games of the year and then Leonard sits out another 20 for load management? That is almost half the season where the superstar duo that the Clippers have are not even on the court.

LeBron did battle a groin injury last year and Davis was rested to maintain his trade value, it would be unfair to ignore that.

However, aside from that one fluke injury for LeBron, he has been a beacon of consistency his entire career.
