The Tampa Bay Buccaneers handed the Los Angeles Rams their first loss of the year and the Rams must get better in certain areas to beat the Seattle Seahawks.

The Los Angeles Rams started the 2019 season with a 3-0 record but it did not feel like the prettiest 3-0 record in the world. Los Angeles played kind of sloppy over the first three weeks but were able to pull away in each of those games because of the pure talent difference on the field.

They nearly lost in Week 1 to the Carolina Panthers and were helped immensely by the Panthers’ multiple mistakes and the fact that Cam Newton was not 100 percent. In Week 2 they then routed the New Orleans Saints but it is hard to take that as concrete evidence as Drew Brees was knocked out early.

In Week 3 they took on the deflated hype train of the Cleveland Browns and very well could have lost that game if it was not for the poor coaching of Freddie Kitchens. Jared Goff did not look all that great yet again but the defense stepped up.

Then, in Week 4, both Goff and the defense decided to take the day off as Goff threw three interceptions and the Rams let the Tampa Bay Buccaneers score 55 points. If we would have said beforehand that the Rams would score 40 against the Bucs then you probably would have bet your entire bank account that they would win.

So while they are still sitting pretty at a 3-1 record, there definitely is an uncertainty and a need for improvement. If the Los Angeles Rams want to avoid losing twice in a row then they will have to improve these three areas in their trip up to Seattle.
