2. Miles Plumlee

Miles Plumlee is another name that could be on the Lakers’ radar by the time the calendars turn over to 2020. Plumlee is not a familiar name like Clarkson nor is he a big name in the league. While dedicated basketball fans know who he is, many casual fans do not.

That is indicative of the kind of player that Plumlee is. He is not someone that is going to drastically sway a team’s title-contending chances and adding him is not going to give the Lakers some incredible asset that they do not currently have.

Plumlee averaged just 14.9 minutes per game over the last two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, averaging 4.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in the process.

So why would the Los Angeles Lakers look at someone like Plumlee? Well, the obvious answer being if the team is not as deep at the center position as they had hoped and if they feel as if they need a third guy in the rotation.

There is also the possibility of the Dwight Howard experiment not working out and the Lakers needing to add any options that are possible.

With Plumlee being an expiring contract on a terrible team in the Memphis Grizzlies, he becomes a perfect trade chip, if he isn’t bought out first.
