The games may not count yet but the Los Angeles Lakers are back in action and take on the Golden State Warriors in the first preseason game of the year.

Basketball is officially back for the Los Angeles Lakers as they are set to take on the Golden State Warriors in the newly-opened Chase Center on Saturday night.

This is the culmination of a very busy and exciting offseason for Laker fans. The team got their second superstar in Anthony Davis and made a slew of other moves to craft a roster that is very different than years past but is ready to contend for a championship.

With a new head coach in Frank Vogel and the first year without Magic Johnson as President of Basketball Operations, Laker fans are hoping that the team can be more stable this season. While there will be speedbumps along the way, the last thing the Lakers need is chaos similar to recent years.

So far we have not had anything of that caliber as all of the players are saying the right things and there are no reports of behind-the-scenes antics going on. All in all, this has been a smooth transition from the offseason to the preseason.

You might be watching playoff baseball (although the Dodgers are off) or college football (although USC is in its bye week) or out living life on Saturday. If you do find yourself in front of a TV watching the Lakers, or even at the game in San Francisco, then you should be keeping a keen eye on these three things.
