1. The Lakers are going to overwhelm teams with their size

Over the last few years, the NBA has gotten smaller and smaller. While NBA players are still giant humans that tower over the rest of the population, the emphasis on size has not been as prevalent as it has been throughout the history of the game.

Teams obviously aren’t looking to recruit short players but just having size is not viewed as a good trait in 2019. Instead, teams are looking for guys that can space the floor and really do it all. The traditional centers that are now in the league can be liabilities in certain circumstances, which has only helped evolve the game further.

When teams boast good size they often have to give up areas elsewhere. That is not the case with the Los Angeles Lakers, as they boast such a big lineup that is going to be overwhelming to the smaller lineups that contending teams are throwing out there.

LeBron James is not a small human and while his height is not out of this world, his physical presence, even at age 34, is unmatched.

Anthony Davis has size at 6’10”, making him bigger than most power forwards in the league. Not to mention that the Lakers have two near seven-footers at center that are rim-protecting presences.

What makes the Lakers so unique is that LeBron plays like a point guard and can do it all while Davis is an absolute menace offensively both down low and from three. He can be fed in the post or can drain shots from the corner. With him, it really is just a case of picking your poison.

Not to mention that Kyle Kuzma will be coming off the bench and he is a scoring machine with size as well.  Their size overpowered the Warriors on Saturday and it will continue to do so.
