2. LeBron James and Anthony Davis not working out

This is probably an afterthought for most of the fanbase. The team just got the superstar duo that the fans have been yearning for and the last thing that fans want to think about is “what if this doesn’t work?”

Heck, LeBron has even been saying all the right things prior to the season, which makes this seem like even more of an afterthought. All the signs are pointing to LeBron giving way to Anthony Davis and making him the number one option on this team.

That could end up being the case but it still does not take away the concern of these two gelling well when the going gets tough. It is well-noted that playing with LeBron James can be difficult as other stars instantly become the source of complaint and blame in the eye of the media.

Hopefully, that won’t affect the relationship and the chemistry between the Lakers’ two stars. And while I think it is more likely than not that the two play well together just fine, we cannot ignore that it should be a concern heading into the season.

What makes it even more concerning is this is not something that can just cut their 2019 season short. This is something that can have a huge ripple effect on the future of the franchise as Davis has a player option and can just walk away if he doesn’t like what he sees.
