1. Danny Green

Danny Green is an instrumental part of the Los Angeles Lakers’ success this season. When Kawhi Leonard decided to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, Green was the first role player that the Lakers signed with the remaining cap space that the team had.

Green was brought in to be the textbook three and D guy alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Not only is he a solid defender and a spark plug at the shooting guard position, but he also has the experience of winning two championships under his belt.

Green’s job is not overly complicated and he probably does not need a great preseason as much as other guys do. His role with the team is locked in and it is going to take a lot to take that away from him.

However, that does not mean that we should simply gloss over Green’s preseason thus far as he has simply been a non-factor.

Green has 12 points in three games and has made just two of his 11 attempts from three. He also has two steals and four turnovers to his name thus far.

We may see Green more active as the Lakers’ second scorer with Davis on the sideline. That would be good for Green, as he needs a good scoring day to really get himself going.
