2. Joc Pederson

Whether or not to trade Joc Pederson has been a discussion among Dodger fans for years now. We do not know for certain if the Los Angeles Dodgers have shopped Pederson, although there have been some reports; we do know that it would not be that hard to find a suitor for him.

Pederson is the typical power-hitting left-handed bat who is coming off of a career-high 36 home runs. Any team that needs a power-hitting bat to put them over the edge should be interested in getting Pederson.

So why would the Dodgers be interested in trading him? First off, the Dodgers have a solid outfield without Pederson even in there. The trio of Alex Verdugo, A.J. Pollock and Cody Bellinger is a good one.

It also makes it easier considering that Pederson is practically unusable against left-handed pitching, whereas Verdugo actually had a reverse split against southpaws.

There is nothing wrong with keeping Pederson and using him against right-handed pitching, with Pollock morphing almost into a lefty-only guy, but if the Dodgers can get something valuable out of him, I would not be shocked whatsoever.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that Pederson is in his third year of arbitration. Pederson is set to be a free agent after 2020, and as they did with Yasiel Puig, it would not be shocking to see the Dodgers move on a year early.
