The Los Angeles Dodgers may be inclined to shake things up this offseason, which could include dipping into the team’s farm system.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are not known for dipping into the farm system to make things happen, and when they do, it very rarely comes back to bite them.

Oftentimes, the prospects that the Dodgers opt to keep in the organization end up impacting the team in one way or another. And on the other hand, there have been countless instances of prospects being traded and underperforming in their new organization.

Jose De Leon has been a non-factor for the Tampa Bay Rays, Willie Calhoun has only 442 career at-bats with a .258 batting average, Yusniel Diaz has struggled since joining Baltimore and has fallen down their prospect ranks.

The only one that has noticeably burned the team has been Yordan Alvarez, who the team traded back in 2016 for Josh Fields, who is no longer with the team. However, Alvarez was not a top prospect at the time and instead was a promising asset that the Astros looked to build up, and they did.

After losing in the NLDS, the Dodger front office might just be inclined to shake things up and finally dip into that farm system. If that is the case, here are the three prospects that could be used as trade bait.
