After two disappointing home losses, the Los Angeles Chargers look to recoup on the road against the Tennessee Titans.

The Los Angeles Chargers‘ season has been disappointing so far, to say the least. The team does have a slight excuse, as it has been injury-prone, but a 2-4 start is far from what fans had hoped for entering the year.

The sad part is the Chargers have been in every single one of these games and you would not have to change much for them to be 6-0. But hey, that is the Chargers way to lose football games, we all should know this by now.

Personally, I think the Chargers’ chances of securing a playoff spot in the AFC is over. Maybe if they make a run while Patrick Mahomes is injured they could be a 9-7 division winner but I highly doubt it. It would take a lot to convince me otherwise.

If that run is going to start it has to start in Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans, who are calling on Ryan Tannehill at quarterback. Here is how the LA Sports Hub staff sees it going down.

Ahmad Akkaoui (3-5): 28-21, Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers haven’t been able to win consistently at all this season, but it also doesn’t help that they’ve had a lot of players injured all season long. The Titans are in a bit of a down period, but I can’t really blame Mariota too much.

He’s not a bad QB. Their receiving corps isn’t great, their offensive line is decent, and their running game is good with Derrick Henry. Maybe it’s the system, maybe it’s the players. But regardless, the Chargers should be able to come out with an away win.

Jamaal Artis (7-3): 24-21, Tennessee Titans

The Chargers face a tough Tennessee Titans team on the road with very little margin of error to save their season.

The Chargers look in total disarray after losing two straight games at home, there is little chance they beat the Titans on the road if their offensive line doesn’t start blocking better.

The Chargers need to hold on to the ball if they are going to win this season they lead the league in red-zone turnovers with 4. Of they don’t hold onto the ball it will be another long day.

Hil Lopez (6-6): 20-17, Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers have been dreadful in the last two games. They lost to a Flacco led Bronco team and just fell at home to a Steeler team led by a third-string quarterback.

Rivers was able to generate a comeback but fell short in the end as he threw an interception on the last possession.

They hope to get back on track against Tennessee who has been additionally dreadful as well. Tennessee was shutout by the Broncos last week and even benched QB Marcus Mariota. They will start Ryan Tannehill this week against Philip Rivers.

This will be a low scoring game featuring two good defenses. However, Rivers will do just enough to get a tight victory against the Titans.

Redan Lopez (6-6): 24-17, Los Angeles Chargers

Chargers 24, Titans 17The Chargers were given a gift when it was announced Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Holmes would be out at least three weeks for a knee injury. With the Chargers three games behind the Chiefs in the win column, now is the time to make up that ground.

The Chargers need this game more than anything. A struggling Titans team comes in, frustrated with now benched quarterback Marcus Mariota. They turn to ex-quarterback Ryan Tannehill to fill the void, but he is a huge question mark.

The Titans are a great defensive team that just can’t score. But I think the Charges finally find themselves and put up over 20 points, something that the Titans defense hasn’t allowed all season.

The Chargers have a bounceback game offensively and will stay in the playoff hunt.

Jason Reed (5-7): 20-10, Tennessee Titans

The Chargers just lost to a third-string quarterback, so it really should not matter that they are facing a not-so-great quarterback situation in Tennessee. And with one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, chances are that Derrick Henry will have a massive game for the Titans.

Henry will control the clock and Philip Rivers will yet again be able to do anything behind the banged-up offensive line that looks like a high school offensive line. The Titans are seventh in the league in sacks with 18 and I expect them to up that number even more on Sunday.

Next. Chargers can kiss the playoffs goodbye. dark

It is just hard to pick for the Chargers anymore. Time and time again they let me down. Expecting the Chargers to not shoot themselves in the foot is like expecting the sun to rise at midnight.
