Los Angeles Dodgers: Why a Joc Pederson trade makes the most sense
By Jason Reed
The Los Angeles Dodgers are going to look to shake some things up this offseason, which means that a trade is on the table.
The Los Angeles Dodgers set a franchise record in wins with 106 but the 2019 season still felt like a failure as they fell in the NLDS to the Washington Nationals.
To be fair, the Nationals had the team of destiny vibe, swept the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLCS and are up 1-0 in the World Series at the time of writing this. The Nationals have won seven straight playoff games, and going back to the regular season, are 17-2 in their last 19 games.
Winning in October is all about who gets hot at the right time and the Nationals have been red-hot.
But still, the Dodgers were six outs away from making it to the NLCS and making another run at the World Series only to fall short. Out of all seven playoff seasons, this year may have been the biggest disappointment and could lead to some shake-ups this offseason.
One trade idea that has circled around Dodger fans on social media is trading Corey Seager, which personally, I think would be a terrible move.
If the Dodgers need to move an established big-league asset for any reason, the best option to trade is Joc Pederson. Yes, we have all heard the Joc Pederson trade rumors over the past few years.
While this is in no means reporting any rumors, there are some indicators of a potential Pederson trade this winter. Here is why a Joc Pederson trade would make the most sense if the Dodgers were to make any big trade at all.
