Max Muncy: A-

Call this one a biased grade, because once you’ve seen Max Muncy hit a ball halfway to Pasadena and flip his bat you can never forget it.

Muncy proved to be the other big slugger behind Cody Bellinger in the lineup. Among the batters in the Dodgers’ lineup with 200 plus at-bats, Muncy was second behind Bellinger in RBIs (98), walks (90), OBP (.374) and OPS (.889). He was third in home runs (35) and slugging (.515).

Muncy was a versatile player on the field playing both corner infield positions and manning second base. Unfortunately, Muncy was second on the team in errors with 14 and led the team in strikeouts with 140. His defensive deficiencies and high strikeout count downgrade what was a good season.

Muncy saved the best for last, leading all hitters with three home runs and seven RBI in the Dodgers five-game NLDS loss.
