Matt Beaty: B-

Matt Beaty was one of a crop of Dodgers rookies who made an impact on the team. Beaty proved to be versatile in the field playing games at both first and third base and playing both corner outfield positions. Beaty’s versatility allowed him to finish second in games played among Dodgers rookies with 99.

Beaty proved adept when driving in runs. Among the Dodgers position players, Beaty led them all hitting .379 with runners in scoring position driving in 37 runs in just 66 at-bats, meaning when runners were in scoring position, 56 percent of the time Beaty drove them in.

Beaty’s best moment was hitting a walk-off home run on June 21st against the Colorado Rockies—the second of what would be a record-setting three walk-off home runs by Dodgers rookies. Thanks to his left-handed bat and versatility in the field Beaty made the postseason roster hitting .375.
