Caleb Ferguson: D

Caleb Ferguson narrowly met our requirements for 40 innings pitched and finished the season with 44 and two-thirds innings in 46 appearances. Ten and one-third of those innings came in September when the Dodgers were trying out different arms while also trying to limit the workload.

Ferguson really did not have that impressive of a year, especially for Dodger standards. On most other teams he would have been fine but he did not have an impressive year in the slightest compared to his peers.

Ferguson finished the season with a 4.84 ERA and was not that great against his left-handed counterparts, which is something he should at least be able to do. While lefties only hit .194 against Ferguson, they did hit just as many home runs as right-handed batters did in 34 fewer plate appearances.

Ferguson was never really a big part of this team. Over half of his innings came in the first and last month of the season and from May to July he had 13 total innings pitched.

He was not a disaster, but we cannot even give him a passing grade.
