Dylan Floro: D+

This is probably the hardest grade for me to give as I was a big fan of Dylan Floro’s entering the season. Floro had really good in-depth numbers last season and his stuff on the mound is electric with a ton of movement.

He even started out the 2019 season on a really good note and it looked like the preseason prediction of Floro being a huge impact arm was coming true. Then the Tampa Bay Rays happened and Floro was not the same since.

Floro had a 0.44 ERA entering his May 22 appearance against the Tampa Bay Rays, where he allowed four runs on three hits without getting a single out. While Floro finished the year with a 4.24 ERA, he had a 6.83 ERA from that day forward.

His hot start prevents this from being an F and does get him a higher grade than Ferguson as we at least saw some good signs that he can build on.

However, he was hanging pitches in the middle of the zone and was sent to the minor leagues for tune-up performances to try and figure his stuff out. It is hard to give that a passing grade.
