The Los Angeles Chargers have lost three ugly games in a row and now have to head to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears.

The Los Angeles Chargers‘ season already feels like it is over. After such a promising summer where we were hyping up the possibilities of this team, the Chargers have done nothing but let all of their fans down.

To be fair, the team is battling arguably the worst injury luck in the entire NFL, but that does not excuse the ugly way in which they lose games. If you are a Charger fan then you are familiar with this. It is the Charger way to lose.

Whether it is getting multiple touchdowns called back from penalties or fumbling in the redzone, or literally at the one-yard-line, the Chargers find a new way to lose the game every single week.

Charger fans may have a pipe dream of the team going on this insane run and finishing 10-6 and somehow sneaking into the playoffs. If that is going to happen, which it probably won’t, it is going to have to start this week.

Here is how the LA Sports Hub staff sees this game going against the Chicago Bears.

Jamaal Artis (9-3): 17-14, Chicago Bears

The Los Angeles Chargers season is on the brink and now they face the Bears on the road. The Bears are equally reeling so this game could determine their season as well.

The Chargers can’t seem to get out of their own way fumbling away last week’s game at the goal-line.

The Chargers have the 27th worst rushing attack and the Bears have the 28th worst rushing attack. Someone will have to move the ball in order to win. Expect a low scoring loss for the Chargers.

Hil Lopez (6-8): 24-20, Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers found another way to lose last Sunday falling to Tennessee 23-20 on a goal-line fumble from running back Melvin Gordon.

Since returning from his holdout, Gordon has been horrible as he has averaged less than 3 yards a carry. Meanwhile, Austin Ekeler continues to thrive catching passes and producing and has been the better back between the two.

Hunter Henry has been a bright spot since his return from injury as he has racked up almost 200 yards receiving in the last two games.

On the other side, Chicago was destroyed at home last week by the Saints and their offense seems to be broken. Head coach Matt Nagy does not seem to know what is he is doing as he dialed up 50+ pass plays last week to only 7 rushing attempts.

Furthermore, the Bears rushing attack has been pathetic as they are the worst in the league, and quarterback Mitchell Trubisky seems to have forgotten how to play quarterback. Besides Allen Robinson, no other Bears player is worth mentioning on offense.

Both teams have key injuries as Keenan Allen came up on the injury report with a hamstring injury, and Akiem Hicks is out on IR with an injury.

The Chargers have sure had some tough luck with outcomes at the end of games. However, in this game, I believe they will reign supreme against the Bears’ broken offense. Sure, the Bears defense has Khalil Mack, but it is hard to believe in their offense when the QB does not know what he is doing.

Redan Lopez (6-8): 20-17, Los Angeles Chargers

Boy, have the Chargers been such a disappointment the entire season. From missing close games to not knowing if the defense will show up, the team has been a mystery box of sorts that can’t seem to even understand itself. Sure, they have had lots of injuries offensively. But the team just has not seemed to get off to the start it needs.

The first halves of the last three games have been particularly lackluster. The Chargers have found themselves behind entering the second half and are consistently playing from behind. They welcome a Bears team which may be one of the better teams defensively, but one of the most unwatchable teams offensively.

Bears’ QB Mitchell Trubisky is and has been atrocious, often settling for short throws and fearful to take shots downfield. Look for him not to change his ways and rob rookie running rack David Montgomery of his carries.

Meanwhile, the Chargers must deal with No.1 wide receiver Keenan Allen being either limited or completely out. Keenan’s loss means that the Chargers may go a little more run-heavy. When they do pass, look for more of tight end Hunter Henry and pass-catching specialist Austin Ekeler to be heavily targeted.

This will be one of the ugliest game to honestly watch this week. But I’m betting the Chargers will pull this one out and finally end their losing streak.

Jason Reed (7-7): 24-21, Chicago Bears

If any team is going to make Mitchell Trubisky look good it will be the Chargers. As a Charger fan, it is starting to get sickening writing about how this team could easily have a much better record if they didn’t make boneheaded mistakes.

Don’t worry, they will. They will do something idiotic in this game that ends up leading to the loss.

Next. Chargers should sell all of their assets. dark

It will be the same song and dance: Philip Rivers will get the ball down three with a minute on the clock, needing a miracle drive to win the game. Yet again it won’t happen.
