Los Angeles Rams: Staff predictions vs. Cincinnati Bengals
By Jason Reed
After a feel-good win over the Atlanta Falcons last week, the Los Angeles Rams get another easy opponent in the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Los Angeles Rams got the easy portion of their schedule right in time, right when the team was starting to slip and lost three games in a row. Last week it was the Atlanta Falcons and this week it is the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals are just awful and they are still without a win this season. While they have played some games close, for the most part, the team has looked completely outmatched by anyone.
This is interesting as Zac Taylor is the head coach and got the head coaching position because of his connection with Sean McVay as the Los Angeles Rams receiver and quarterback coach.
This is a revenge game of sorts for Taylor against his old team. This is how the LA Sports Hub staff expect it to go down.
Jamaal Artis (9-3): Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams have another game against a team they should defeat. They face the Cincinnati Bengals who have yet to win a game.
The Rams may be the home team but it’s not in Los Angeles it’s in London. It could be played at my old high school it doesn’t matter.
The Rams defensive unit will run roughshod over the Bengals who have the worst offensive run unit and equally league-worst run defense.
If the Rams can beat the Falcons then they should run over the Bengals.
Hil Lopez (6-8): 38-24, Los Angeles Rams
The Rams ended their three-game losing streak after a 37-10 thrashing of the Atlanta Falcons last week on the road. This week, they take their talents to London to take on the Bengals before heading on a bye week.
By all accounts, their offense rebounded in a great way as Jared Goff threw multiple touchdowns passes, and shredded Atlanta’s pass defense with numerous passes to Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, and Brandin Cooks. That should be their formula this week again against the porous Bengals who are 0-7 on the season.
First-year head coach Zac Taylor is having a hard time as his offensive line is struggling to run block for Joe Mixon and protect Andy Dalton when he goes back to pass. They are also missing All-Pro wideout A.J. Green who has yet to play this season.
Redan Lopez (6-8): 38-20, Los Angeles Rams
This game should be a blowout by the middle of the third quarter. With my thought that Carolina will surprise San Francisco, this win for the Rams should get them closer in the division race.
Jason Reed (7-7): 45-14, Los Angeles Rams
This will be the patented blowout win that the Los Angeles Rams made their brand last season. We got a glimpse of that last week against the Falcons but I think we get the entire picture on Sunday.
Jared Goff will have the textbook Jared Goff game where he absolutely throttles a lesser opponent and the Rams will do anything they want against this Cincinnati defense. With something to prove to his former coach, Sean McVay will not take his foot off the gas.
This game should not be close. A win is a win and they all count the same but anything less than a two-possession win will feel like a loss for the Rams.
