The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a promising start in the 2019 season but have already shown us where the front office may look to add this season.
The Los Angeles Lakers‘ 2019 season did not start out on the right foot as the team dropped its opening night matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers but since then, the Lakers have been grooving.
The team has won three games straight, which includes a solid defensive performance against the Utah Jazz and two definitive wins over lesser teams in the Charlotte Hornets and Memphis Grizzlies.
Anthony Davis was literally historic in the win over the Grizzlies. Davis became the first Laker since Shaquille O’Neal to record 40 points and 20 rebounds in a game and was the first player since Wilt Chamberlain‘s 100-point game to do so with 25 free throws made.
The duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, thus far, is everything that it was made up to be and certain role players, such as Avery Bradley, Danny Green and Dwight Howard, have been up to standards thus far.
In the same vein, the Lakers could also use a ball-handler to take some of the burden off of LeBron, although Rajon Rondo will help ease that burden once he returns.
Regardless, we know that the Lakers are going to be looking to add veteran role players that can fix the few holes that the team has. Here are three veterans that you should keep an eye on this season as they may be a potential trade target for the Lakers near the deadline.
