Andre Iguodala’s buyout should be right around the corner and the Los Angeles Lakers will have the best chance of signing him once he’s bought out.

The Los Angeles Lakers added a slew of role players in the summer to complement LeBron James and Anthony Davis after Kawhi Leonard decided to forego the Lakers for the Los Angeles Clippers. While the front office did a great job in bringing in depth, the team has still felt a man or two short.

However, the Lakers’ hands are tied with the salary cap, meaning it would have to be some sort of exception signing or a trade. Luckily for the Lakers, Andre Iguodala has been the textbook buyout veteran minimum guy, and for that reason, the Lakers have been tied to Iguodala since the minute he was traded.

Iguodala was traded to the Grizzlies in a deal that was a salary relief trade for the Warriors and the veteran forward is yet to play with his new team and will likely ever play with the Grizzlies.

It is only a matter of time until he is bought out and the two LA teams have been the frontrunners to bring him in.

In the past, we have swung in favor of the Clippers signing Iguodala once his contract was bought out. However, it is now clear that the Los Angeles Lakers are the favorites for the veteran title-winner. Here is why.
