Los Angeles Rams: Case for and against making the playoffs

Case For Rams Making the Playoffs
The Los Angeles Rams seemed to have gained some momentum ever since acquiring cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Jacksonville Jaguars for two first-round picks in 2020 and 2021 and an additional fourth-round pick.
They have won two in a row in impressive fashion, holding the Falcons and Bengals to 10 points apiece in both games. Ramsey seems to have invigorated the defense to play harder and with a passion. It has been a huge improvement compared to the three previous games where the club allowed 105 points.
Offensively, the Rams still have one of the best trios at wide receiver in Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks. Josh Reynolds as a No.4 is not one to ignore, and tight ends Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee are excellent pass catchers. Despite the increased workload, Goff has excelled and came into Week 9 leading the in passing yards with 2,367.
After the bye week, I have to think coach McVay should also have made some adjustments to how he executes his offense and defensive schemes. Because as a coach, things need to change if you know your team is better than they have been performing, right?
With a strong passing attack and a newly energized defense behind McVay’s game adjustments, the Rams will make the playoffs. However, it is very probable the Rams get in as a wildcard team as the 49ers have shown no signs of slowing down.
