Several big-name players have been tied to the Los Angeles Dodgers this offseason but it may be the surprising names that the Dodgers pursue.

Dodger fans are itching for the front office to make improvements after the Los Angeles Dodgers surprisingly fell short in the NLDS to the eventual World Series Champions, the Washington Nationals.

Luckily for those fans, there is a lot of opportunities for the Dodgers to make said improvements. First of all, there are some solid free agents available this winter, ranging from Gerrit Cole to Anthony Rendon.

Second of all, the Dodgers actually have the room to bring in some marquee names, something the team did not have the luxury of doing in recent years with the agenda of staying under the luxury tax, or so we think.

However, even though the Dodgers are primed to make a massive signing, it would not be surprising to see the team go a different route and sign an unexpected free agent.

They did it last winter with A.J. Pollock while all of the talk was surrounding Bryce Harper. With the risk that big signings like this usually present, the Dodgers might be inclined to yet again shy from the big-name signing and instead go with the solid, surprise signings.

Here are three players that it would be a surprise to see the Los Angeles Dodgers sign that are good fits for the team, and are quite talented as well.
