The Los Angeles Rams look to keep their thin playoff hopes alive with a road victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13.

The Los Angeles Rams got decimated by the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 12 and with the loss, the playoff hopes started floating out the window. The Rams are not eliminated from playoff contention, but with the way they have been playing, there is not a lot of hope.

The Rams are two games out of the second wild-card spot and the team is likely going to have to win out to make the playoffs. The absolute worst they can do to make the playoffs is 4-1. The problem is that the remaining schedule is not a breeze.

However, Week 13 presents a warm-up in a sense in the Arizona Cardinals, who are the weak link in the Rams’ remaining schedule. The Rams need a win, the Cardinals want to play spoiler before the Rams could even get their hopes up. Here is how the LA Sports Hub staff see this game going down.

Jamaal Artis (12-4): 31-28, Los Angeles Rams

Because of their lackluster effort, every game the Los Angeles Rams play for the rest of 2019 is a playoff game. Their best chance to get back on track is Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have only three wins.

They are a young team lead by a rookie quarterback. Though the Rams are on the road it will be indoors and they have just as many wins on the road than at home (three apiece). Rams find a way to win 31-28.

Hil Lopez (10-10): 20-16, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams take on the Arizona Cardinals after a horrendous 45-6 loss to the Ravens on Monday night football. That loss more than likely ended their playoff hopes, but they look to right the ship against the Cardinals against the road.

Jared Goff has been a shell of himself after a fantastic 2018 season. He will have a tough time playing a Cardinals team coming off a bye. However, I see the Rams squeaking by the Cardinals in a low scoring affair.

Redan Lopez (9-9): 27-21, Arizona Cardinals

The Rams have done themselves no favors this season and look to be falling apart at the seams. Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens completely embarrassed them at home. Their was shockingly no Rams’ push back.

At 6-5, they stand on the outside looking in. In the past, the Rams have struggled to contain mobile quarterbacks like Jackson and Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson. This game will be no different.

Cardinals’ QB Kyler Murray has made the club look and feel competitive, both with his ability to run and make downfield throws. He is still a rookie, but should give the Rams’ defense fits on if they should defend the pass or against the run.

Do not underestimate the Cardinals, who are 3-7-1. They are actually better than their record indicates. These Rams have had trouble all over the field, on both ends of the ball. The offensive line has not given Goff enough time to get the ball to his receivers, and Todd Gurley has not provided the running game that is sorely needed to spread opposing defenses.

Star Cornerback Patrick Peterson is also back for the Cardinals, so look for him to neutralize either of Cooper Kupp or Brandin Cooks. This will be a competitive game, but the Cardinals will pull out the victory of because of Kyler Murray. He will confuse the Rams’ defense and run in for a score that will be the difference in the game.

Jason Reed (11-11): 24-21, Los Angeles Rams

This game is going to be way closer than it should be. The Los Angeles Rams’ offense has not been great and I think the same will be the case on Sunday. While they score 24 in my prediction, that will likely be the result of the defense forcing some mistakes out of Kyler Murray, leading to good field position.

The Rams will be winning 24-14 in this game about halfway through the fourth quarter when the Cardinals score a touchdown to bring it within three. The Rams offense will stagger and not take enough time off the clock, giving the Cardinals a chance to tie the game with three and a half minutes left.

The defense will make a stop but then the Rams offense will once again fail to get one first down to end the game.

Next. What must happen to make the playoffs. dark

The Cardinals will take over with less than a minute and no timeouts, Luckily, the defense will step up yet again.
