6. LA Galaxy first to five!!!

The LA Galaxy proved to be the most dominant team in MLS to start the decade. Starting with the 2010 season until the 2014 season the Galaxy won 85 games total averaging 59 points a season while winning two Supporters Shields for the best record in the regular season and three MLS Cups as the winners of the playoffs.

The brains behind the team were coach Bruce Arena who managed to coalesce MLS’s most talented team into a dominant unit. Arena did it with players like Landon Donovan, David Beckham, and Robbie Keane.

Somehow Arena managed to convince his star players to sacrifice their egos for the goal of winning as a team. Keane came to the team in 2011 and got the team over the hump helping them win their first title since 2005. In 2012 Beckham announced he would be leaving the team and went out a winner as the franchise won their first back to back MLS Cup titles.

In 2014 Keane again put it all together leading the team in goals with 16 and winning the league MVP award. Keane scored the game-winning goal in the 2014 MLS Cup in extra time to clinch the team’s third MLS Cup title in four years.
