6. Doc Rivers, 2013-Present, 329-195

Playoff Appearances:  5

When the Los Angeles Clippers hired Doc Rivers to be their coach he was thought to be the last piece of what was supposed to be a championship team that had Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and Deandre Jordan.

The Clippers never did get that championship but in Doc Rivers, they got a stabilizing force in the coaches’ chair for the first time since the team moved to Los Angeles in 1985.

At the end of the decade Rivers is the longest-tenured coach among all the teams in Southern California. Rivers is at the helm of probably the greatest Clippers team of all-time with all-stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and his team are favored to win their first NBA title.

Perhaps the best job Rivers did was keeping the team together during the 2014 NBA playoffs during the turmoil that engulfed the team as the NBA was trying to get rid of then-owner Donald Sterling.

Rivers was the steadying presence then and remains so now, his team is a reflection of the coach and Rivers with the Clippers look ready to start the new decade with a title.
