4. Brian Agler, 2015-2018, 85-1

WNBA Finals appearances: 2, WNBA Titles: 1

For a brief period over four WNBA seasons, Brian Agler coached the Los Angeles Sparks and could claim to be the best team in Staples Center. In those four seasons, the Sparks never missed the playoffs and came agonizingly close to winning back to back WNBA Finals.

Thanks to players like Candace Parker and 2016 MVP Nneka Ogwumike, Agler and the Sparks did fulfill a dream winning the 2016 WNBA Finals. Thanks to Ogwumike’s late game-winning jump shot Agler had taken the Sparks to the top just two years after the team’s previous owners almost folded the team.

Those 2016 Sparks may not have even been Agler’s best team as the team came back in 2017 and were second in offensive (107.1) and defensive (96.4) rating. Again the team made it to the WNBA Finals but this time they lost in five games.

After one more season with the team and an early playoff exit, Agler left to coach the Dallas Wings. Despite his departure, Agler deserves to be on this after such a remarkable period of winning Sparks basketball.
