The 2010s brought the Los Angeles Kings two Stanley Cups and in the 10 years of Kings hockey the team fielded plenty of great players.

For the Los Angeles Kings, the 2010s decade will represent their peak as a franchise and a second golden age in their history. The Kings had their best period on the ice making the playoffs seven times their best run of consistency since the late ’80s and early ’90s.

The previous decade had yielded just one playoff series win out of three appearances and a six straight year playoff drought. That futility helped the team restock the team with prospects and youth that finally bore fruit during this last decade.

The peak of the Los Angeles Kings’ powers came between 2012 to 2014 when the Kings won 10 playoff series made the Western Conference Finals every year and won their first two Stanley Cups in franchise history.

This list celebrates the top five players of the decade all players who were significant to the Kings renaissance.

Honorable Mention: Foward Justin Williams

Justin Williams’s reputation as clutch player in the playoffs has earned the moniker of “Mr. Game 7”, its no wonder that during the decade the Kings went 4-0 with Williams in game sevens. Williams scored four goals, with three assists, and seven points in the four wins.

Williams played in six seasons with the Kings scoring 102 goals go for sixth for the decade and accumulated 262 points good for fifth. William’s goal-scoring prowess and veteran leadership were keys to the Kings Stanley Cup success.

In 2014 Williams was named Conn Smythe Winner as the playoff MVP scoring two game-winning goals and was second among league leaders with 25 points. The Kings have yet to win another playoff series since Williams left after the 2014-15 season no doubt missing his veteran presence and scoring skill.
