3. Defensemen Drew Doughty

Drew Doughty’s career hasn’t finished and he is already the greatest Kings’ player in franchise history to man the blue-line as a defenseman. As of this writing, he is second in franchise leaders in goals and points, while being the all-time leader in games played and assists.

Doughty did most of his damage this past decade scoring the fifth-most goals with 104 and second-most points with 440. Doughty twice got his name on the Stanley Cup as the anchor for the defense.

During the decade Doughty also received plenty of individual recognition playing in five straight all-star games, placing first in the post-season NHL All-Star team twice, and becoming the second player in franchise history to win the Norris Trophy as the best defensemen in the league.

One day Doughty’s jersey should hang in the rafters in the Staple Center as a testament to his greatness on the team, it was during the 2010s where he really made his mark.
