#4 2009-2010 Los Angeles Lakers 57-25 (.695)

The 2009-10 Los Angeles Lakers won back to back titles by defeating their longtime rival the Boston Celtics in a Game 7 for the first time.

The Lakers dominated the Western Conference of the NBA finishing first in the conference for the third year in a row. Their leaders were All-Stars Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. Their biggest acquisition in the off-season was free agent Rob Artest who brought defensive toughness to the team.

In the playoffs the Lakers needed six games to dispatch the up and coming Oklahoma City Thunder, Game Six was won on a late Pau Gasol tip-in. After sweeping the Utah Jazz the Lakers won their third consecutive Western Conference title beating the Phoenix Suns in six games.

Artest won Game 5 on a buzzer-beating putback and then Bryant torched the Suns in Game 6 with 37 points.

The Lakers gained a measure of revenge against the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, the Celtics defeated the Lakers in 2008, this time it was the Lakers turn they came back from a 3-2 deficit winning game 7 at home.
