The Anaheim Ducks are hoping to check off a lot of the items on their 2020 wish list in the second half of the season.

The first portion of the 2019-2020 season has been an up and down one for the Anaheim Ducks, to say the least. The club started off hot with a nice 6-3 start but has failed to pick up consecutive wins since early November. Defensive and offensive execution issues and now injuries have hurt the team in finding a rhythm as the season moves into the second half.

Standing at 16-19-5 (37 points) and 14th in the Western Conference, the Ducks need to start to turn the ship around if they hope to make it to the postseason. Currently, sitting 9 points out of the final wild-card spot with two games in hand, the Ducks can still make a run.

Not impossible, but very possible.

This team has plenty of talent and a fair share of skilled players like Rickard Rakell, Ryan Getzlaf, and Jakob Silfverberg to lead the way. They also have committed to the youth movement this season, giving Max Comtois, Troy Terry, Sam Steel, Max Jones, Josh Mahura, and Jacob Larsson more ice team and greater roles.

It’s just a matter of executing offensively and keeping to their defensive identity to make the Ducks successful this season. Easier said than done. Especially when you are asking a lot from the defense and goaltending to keep the puck out of the net on a consistent basis for an offensively challenged team.

The Ducks are not in panic mode, but definitely need to make a mighty push to get back into the playoff picture. In order to do that, here are the items on their wish list for 2020, in no particular order:
