Kyle Kuzma is the one part of the young core that the Los Angeles Lakers hung onto, however, if the price is right, Kuzma is absolutely tradable.

The Los Angeles Lakers traded practically the entire young core in the offseason to accomplish one thing: get Anthony Davis to Los Angeles to give LeBron James a superstar teammate that he can win the NBA Championship with.

Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart were the trio of players that were sent to New Orleans alongside a slew of future draft picks. The front office also parted ways with other young players, such as Moritz Wagner, to make room for Davis.

The one player that the Lakers seemed convinced to hold onto was Kyle Kuzma. Kuzma has already far exceeded draft expectations with his first two great seasons and was viewed as the third option on a title-contending team heading into season.

As the trade deadline looms the speculation of the Lakers making a move, and Kuzma being part of that move, have grown. Right now it is nothing more than speculation, as there have been no concrete reports of the Lakers working on any sort of trade that involves Kuzma.

However, despite how talented Kuzma is, Laker fans should not be clinging on too much to Kuzma. While he is a fan-favorite, the third-year forward is absolutely tradable at the deadline this year, if the Lakers get a fair return, of course.

The team should not be out shopping Kuzma, but there are two primary reasons why the Lakers and the fans should be okay with trading Kyle Kuzma if the right package comes along.
