Practice, And More Practice

This is not to say that LeBron doesn’t work hard or practices. This is more of highlighting how hard Kobe worked just to become an all-time great.

He’s always had a killer mentality and has always been improving himself everyday. It’s just the way he was raised.

In terms of basketball, there have been stories by Blake Griffin and other players that Kobe would start working out at 3:30 AM to hit the gym or practice even after a game.

Kobe had always valued practice. He would push you as hard in practice as he would in a game, and that’s how serious he took practice.

As an example, in Game 3 of the 2009 NBA Finals, Kobe shot 5-of-10 from the free-throw line. A few days later for Game 4, Kobe went to the arena five hours before the game and practiced shooting free throws for hours.

That practice paid off, as Kobe shot a perfect 8-of-8 from the free throw line.

Once again, I have to remind you guys that this is not to say that LeBron wasn’t a hard worker or anything of that sort. LeBron is DEFINITELY a hard worker, but we all know that Kobe was the hardest worker the league has ever seen. That’s a fact.
