There is a lot of speculation of where Tom Brady will call home next season, with some thinking it could be with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Los Angeles Chargers are at a quarterback crossroads and the future of the team is likely going to look different than the recent past. Philip Rivers is an unrestricted free agent this offseason and has moved his family full-time to Florida and most likely won’t be with the Chargers next season.

It seemingly was reported by Jay Glazer that the Chargers had officially moved on from Philip Rivers when he appeared on The Herd. However, after conflicting reports then emerged, Glazer made it clear that he was not reporting that to be the case.

We see this all the time. Analysts make a comment on a situation or offer what they think should happen and it gets confused for reports. Heck, it has happened to us.

There is still a good chance that Rivers will not be the quarterback moving forward and one potential option is Tom Brady, which actually makes a lot of sense from a business standpoint.

The Chargers are going to struggle in filling up So-Fi Stadium in their first year and Tom Brady would be an instant fix to help solve that problem. For Brady, Los Angeles presents a great place for his children to go to school and for his post-football career to start.

LeBron James came to the Los Angeles Lakers for the exact same reason. Brady could absolutely look to do the same.

There are other teams that have also been thrown into the speculation hat, most notably the Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans. While those two options are also realistic, as is staying in New England, I would not rule Brady out in coming to the Chargers.

The only problem is, as a Charger fan, I am not convinced this is a great move. Brady is getting older and while he did not have a lot of weapons last season, we started to see that he is no longer the Brady of old.

The Chargers have the sixth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and very well could select a quarterback then. However, if they really want to go the route of getting an established quarterback, here are some options that are better in what is going to be a fun offseason.
